About Hope at the Brick House

Located in the heart of Davenport, Hope at the Brick House provides spiritual, educational, and community-based support to individuals and families. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to offer hope, guidance, and practical resources to those who need them most.

After School Programs

One of the organization’s cornerstone initiatives is its after school program for K-6th grade students. This nurturing and supportive environment helps kids grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Services include:

• Nutritious daily meals
• Individual tutoring and literacy support
• Computer skills training
• Speech and language enhancement, in collaboration with St. Ambrose University Speech & Pathology Department
• Healthy recreational activities
• Access to local church club programs

Summer Program

Hope at the Brick House also runs an eight-week summer program for K–6 students. This program blends fun with learning, offering:

• Recreational activities that keep kids engaged and connected
• Educational enrichment in math and literacy
• Spiritual guidance and mentorship

Building Neighborhood Connections

Hope at the Brick House is more than a community center—it’s a place where neighbors come together to make their voices heard and build a stronger, safer neighborhood. By fostering relationships and creating space for collaboration, the organization helps residents take an active role in shaping the future of their community.

Key initiatives include:

• Friday Evening Family Events – A weekly gathering where families and neighbors share a meal, enjoy fellowship, and strengthen bonds within the community.
• Monthly Neighborhood Meetings – Bringing together residents, law enforcement, and local officials to address concerns, share ideas, and create solutions for a better neighborhood.
• Community Resources – Connecting families with critical support, from housing and healthcare to childcare, parenting programs, and job skills training.
• Life Skills Coaching – Offering mentoring, budgeting assistance, and personal development opportunities that empower individuals to thrive.

Through these efforts, Hope at the Brick House helps residents not only access resources but also become leaders and advocates for positive change in their neighborhood.

Point Electric’s Partnership with Hope at Brick House

Our partnership began several years ago when one of our contractors invited us to provide electrical services for a Brick House project. Seeing the positive impact this organization was making inspired us to get more involved.

Since then, we’ve been honored to support their work in several ways:

• Providing electrical services at reduced costs—or at times, free of charge
• Collaborating on current expansion projects to grow their facility and reach
• Supporting their mission through annual donations from our founder, Shawn

We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their vision and stand alongside them as they continue to uplift the Davenport community.
